Quinta Picouto de Cima is located in Gominhães, municipality of Guimarães, within the Vinho Verde region — the only one in the world where vinho verde is produced. There are 10 hectares of vineyards, with more than seven grape varieties, worked by the same family since 1997.

Here, the tasting is not at an anonymous counter: it is the family itself, which produces each bottle, showing the winery and telling the story of three generations dedicated to the only wine in the world that is called "green".

The historic centre of Guimarães, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is within a 10-minute drive. Braga is about 30 minutes away and the Peneda-Gerês National Park is a natural match for those who stay longer. Vigo, in Galicia, is about 130 km away — an hour and a half by car. Free parking on the property.
