The Estate Picouto de Cima
A family-run estate, terroir and a passion for Vinho Verde, in the heart of Minho.
Where the vineyard is find the house
Quinta Picouto de Cima is situated in the parish of Gominhães, in Guimarães. It was purchased in 1997 by Albertino Rodrigues Ferreira, and has since been looked after by the same family with a single aim: to produce Vinho Verde of the highest quality.
The property includes the vineyard, the winery, an accommodation area with a house with four bedrooms. They can make use of the swimming pool and barbecue space. There is also space for two self-contained motorhomes.
The Minho region is the only place in the world where Vinho Verde is produced — a fresh, light wine with lively acidity, which reflects the Atlantic climate and the granitic soils.
